As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead two small, high-impact teams (Engineering + R&D) and operate at the intersection of tech, product, and business. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, and shape how we build next-generation HR tech. Work with strong people, tackle meaningful problems, and take real ownership - from architecture to team growth.

TES TÂCHES

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 (5 Engineers, 2 R&D), including performance management, regular 1:1s, and career growth
  • Shape and evolve core solutions such as CVlizer (CV parsing & skill extraction), Jobolizer (job ad parsing), and the Data-Driven Ontology (knowledge graph for skills and occupations) 
  • Define and execute the R&D strategy, including prioritization of initiatives and evaluation of ML models vs. external AI/LLM solutions 
  • Translate complex technical topics into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders and executives 
  • Ensure high-quality delivery by balancing speed, scalability, and technical excellence across projects
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration within the JobCloud group and align stakeholders around product and technology decisions

TON PROFIL

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional Engineering teams 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS) and a solid understanding of AI/ML-driven products 
  • Good understanding of the labour and recruitment market, regulation and environment in the DACH region 
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and drive clear roadmap planning 
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical and business needs 
  • Strong communication and leadership presence - able to engage, motivate, and inspire teams while building visibility across the organization 
  • Full professional proficiency in English, German (min. C1: required for communication with authorities and organizations)
